9fin, a London-based AI-powered analytics platform for debt capital markets, has announced its acquisition of Bond Radar, a leading intelligence and data provider for the global bond and loan markets.
This strategic move aims to deepen 9fin’s data coverage and strengthen its existing AI platform, particularly within investment-grade debt and emerging markets. By integrating Bond Radar’s extensive historical data and broad market reach, 9fin hopes to accelerate its expansion into new markets, including investment-grade debt and asset-based finance, while extending its geographic presence into key emerging regions like Asia and Latin America.
Steven Hunter, CEO and co-founder of 9fin, explained the startup’s reasoning:
“This acquisition is a step towards our ambitious vision of being the number one provider of debt market intelligence. By integrating Bond Radar’s market reach, client relationships and valuable historical transaction data, we are solidifying our position as the one-stop shop for debt market professionals, providing them with the comprehensive tools and insights they need to navigate today’s increasingly complex financial landscape.”
Gregor Davis, Director of Bond Radar, added:
“I am confident that integrating with 9fin’s platform will significantly extend our capacity to deliver our specialist coverage to a broader client base within the debt markets.”
Founded in 2002, Bond Radar has been recognised for its highly accurate, detailed, and timely intelligence on the global primary debt issuance markets. Its acquisition follows 9fin’s rapid growth across the US and Europe, with the company more than doubling its revenue year-over-year, expanding its market coverage, and growing its headcount.
In December 2024, 9fin raised $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Highland Europe, positioning the company to accelerate its growth trajectory and solidify its position as a leading global player in debt market intelligence.
The integration of Bond Radar’s capabilities is expected to enhance 9fin’s platform, providing clients with comprehensive tools and insights to navigate the increasingly complex financial landscape. With this acquisition, 9fin is well positioned to continue its mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions to debt market professionals worldwide.
